As well as in private practice, I have worked as a psychologist in the NHS for 7 years in GP practices, secondary care and crisis care with emergency and in-patients. I also have experience of working in a university counselling setting and in drug and alcohol treatment centres.
As a chartered Counselling Psychologist, I am fully qualified and working to the stringent code of ethics and practice of the British Psychological Society (BPS). As a safeguard to the public, Chartered Psychologists are required to renew their practicing certificate yearly by demonstrating their adequate engagement in professional development and maintenance of professional standards. I am also accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and I am registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
In addition, I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
